The Scag Liberty was designed with Scag's typical engineering excellence. With a fully fabricated tube steel frame, fabricated 10ga cutting deck and a plush seat, the Liberty will make quick work of your lawns and last you for years (even decades!). Made in the USA in Scag's iconic Mayville, Wisconsin factory, the Liberty is loved by homeowners with large lawns all over New Zealand.
Liberty owners often comment on the ease of driving - with the unique steering system making it a breeze to navigate twists and turns and obstacles in your lawn, leaving a beautiful cut.

Available in New Zealand in 48" and 52" decks, with 42" option and electric option coming in mid 2022.
Serviceable Transaxles
Fully serviceable transaxles have a changeable filter and oil, giving a much longer service life than cheaper zero turns with non-serviceable, sealed transaxles. The Hydro-Gear ZT2800 transaxle comes standard with the Libery, with the Tuff Torq TZ450 available on some models
Ogura Clutch
Ogura are regarded as 'industry best' - offering a smooth, dependable operation and adjustable air-gap for long life.
Aluminium spindles
Tough alloy spindles include sealed ball bearings - a proven design for years of service and no annoying grease required.
Superior Cut Quality
Scag's signature Hero™ cutting deck has a unique deep design for efficient grass handling, and a wide discharge - for a superior cut quality mow after mow. With regular mowing, you can get a beautiful striped finish.
